Bloodlines, Yay or Nay?

Supernatural's Spin-Off a Hit?

If you missed last nights episode of Supernatural, you really didn't miss much. Last nights episode was the showing of the Supernatural spin- off show Bloodlines. This show is suppose to be based on a character for the show in general but after watching it last night, I think they just took every single creature for the show and threw them together for a show.

The main character and I am assuming the new hunter of the show is played by Lucien Laviscount. While is acting skills are very good, he is still no Sam or Dean. Sam and Dean will forever be mine and others favorite hunters and I don't believe anyone could take their place. His story starts off tragic just like every other hunter on Supernatural. He is in love with a girl and she gets killed by one of these creatures and he seeks revenge on all creatures out there. Sounds familiar? Well that's because Sam and Dean spent a couple seasons searching for the same demon that killed their mother when they were younger. Just very repetitive to me, I guess.

The show consist of creatures trying to live in secrecy from the real world. There are five families of these creatures spread across Chicago. So far we have seen at least four: Ware-Wolves, Shape-Shifters, Vampires and Gouls. The five "families" are trying to keep the peace between each other to avoid war. When I heard that line last night all I could think of was that it was almost like a mafia movie, families that don't get along and as soon as one family member acts up or disrespects the other  family, it starts a war between the families.

But the mafia wasn't the only thing it reminded me of. It also reminded me of Twilight as well. Two families that shouldn't be together but the Shape-Shifter is in love with a Ware-Wolf. I am sorry but I think Twilight has over done the ware-wolf love story.
No offense to the actors or to CW but I think with Supernatural still on, there won't be a reason to have this show on. Sam and Dean does a great job hunting and showing off the many different creatures that they find and hunt all the time. I understand that the show is more on the point of view of the creatures but after watching Supernatural we don't see these creatures as good, we see them as something to hunt.

What do you guys think?

Until next time my friends!
